Meet Lital A. of Little Bakery OC in DFW

My journey into the world of baking started with a simple yet profound love for creating beautiful desserts. The dream of owning my own bakery truly took shape when my son, Liad, was born. While on maternity leave, I began baking cakes and desserts for colleagues at my office and their encouragement made me realize this was something I should pursue. I love being a dental hygiene but i couldn't resist the passion of Making people tummy SMILE :}

The idea had always been in my heart, but it became a reality when my daughter Danielle’s 4th birthday came around. I wanted her cake to be special—something unique and personal. With no prior experience, I decided to make her a Dora the Explorer-themed cake from scratch. Seeing her excitement and the joy it brought to others was the moment I knew baking was my true calling.

From that first cake, word quickly spread, and soon I was making cakes for family, friends, and even clients. What started as a small passion project grew into a full-fledged bakery business in Orange County, specializing in custom cakes, cupcakes, and artistic desserts. My dedication to using high-quality ingredients and creating visually stunning desserts earned me a loyal customer base and even a spot on the OC Hotlist for Best Dessert in 2017.

Two years ago, I embarked on a new chapter, moving to Texas and bringing Little Bakery OC with me. Though the location changed, my love for baking and creating edible art remained the same. I feel incredibly fortunate to continue doing what I love, bringing smiles to my customers through my cakes and pastries.

My journey has not been without challenges. After losing both my mother and father—who were incredibly artistic—I felt a deep responsibility to carry on their creative legacy. My father was a fine jeweler, crafting intricate, timeless pieces, while my mother created amazing Moroccan delights that filled our home with warmth and flavor. Their artistry and passion for detail live on in my work, inspiring me to make every dessert not only delicious but also a work of art.

I also want to take a moment to thank my husband for his amazing support. His encouragement and help have made everything easier, allowing me to chase my dreams with confidence.

At Little Bakery OC, I believe that desserts should not only taste amazing but also tell a story. Whether it’s a wedding cake, birthday cupcakes, or a loaf of homemade sourdough, my goal is to make every bite an experience. Because at the end of the day, nothing brings people together like good food and sweet memories.
